April 8th 2008 - Clearwater Marina Welcomes MMCA Certification
Clearwater Marina is welcoming the MMCA certification process. We will be working with them closely.
April 2nd 2008 - Employers Getting MMCA Certified In Pinellas Skyrockets
Employers in the Pinellas area are eager to get certified. Many have told us that it is a real plus
to drawing in customers. The charter boat industry is so competitive that they are thrilled about one more
way to make THEIR business stand out and make their customers feel comfortable.
They report that their customers have told them they have been waiting for a way to
tell if a charter boat has a negative or positive history. Many customers report that they often felt like
it was rolling the dice when picking a charter boat. Not anymore.
March 22 nd 2008 - Insurance Companies are On board With MMCA Certification
MMCA has been working closely with most of the major insurance companies that insure charter vessels.
A full list of insurance companies that will be offering reduced rates to charter companies with an MMCA Certification
will be available in 60 days.
March 8th 2008 - FWC Excited About MMCA and An MMCA Certified Charter Business
The FWC is reviewing the class modules for Sea Drive. In discussions with FWC officers they appear
very excited about a charter company FINALLY offering BEHIND THE HELM TRAINING FOR BOATERS. Upon approval
of the outline submitted by Sea Drive the FWC will do what they can to assist in getting more boaters certified
through the Sea Drive process.
March 2nd 2008 - USCG Helps Promote an MMCA Certified Company
USCG is helping to promote boat safety by working closely with Captain captainaquatic.com who in turn
is working closely with MMCA to make sure the skill level of ALL boaters licensed or not is where
it should be. By working together and getting boaters educated, they all hope reduce the number of fatalities and injuries.

MMCA is excited to have a marine company that is doing behind the helm training for the average boater as well as
Captain's. They are also running some of the best fishing charters and other types of charters.

Membership Nearly Doubles In The Last Month Alone - The general reaction to MMCA has been
very positive. Captain's have made statements such as; "It's about time". Employers are loving
the idea because they know they are getting Captain's with helm time and experience. So, word got
out quickly and Captain after Captain is signing up.
Febuary 14th, 2008 -
MMCA Goes National - MMCA will be opening 3 new chapters across the United States.

on the net. Hosting the ONLY boating IQ on the net. Plus, a full Captain's library, online courses, full ocean library,

August 1ST, 2007 -
Area Division Commanders Announced - John's Pass , St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Tampa
now have representatives.
August 21 st, 2007 -
Parasail Division Commander Appointed - A new Parasail division commander has been appointed.
He is a Parasail Captain out of John's Pass.

New Division To Open Near Louisiana - Capt. Harper
has been approved to begin a new division in area near Louisiana. Congratulations from all
